Bravo Probiotic Yogurt Instructions

Step-by-step guide for preparing your Bravo Probiotic Yogurt at home. The entire process takes just a few minutes of active time.

Kitchen Supply List

  • Stainless steel large pot for boiling milk (thick-bottom pot recommended to prevent burning)
  • Large glass bowl to store the yogurt during fermentation
  • Metal whisk or steel/silicon/plastic long-handled cooking spoon (no wood) for stirring milk
  • Aluminum foil
  • 1 liter (32 oz) whole cow organic milk — raw milk can also be used
  • Small blanket to pack over the yogurt while it ferments

Before Starting

All preparation utensils and materials should be very clean. Always wash your hands well before preparation.

It is best to use 1 liter (32 ounces) of Whole Cow Organic Milk. Raw milk can be used and should be lightly boiled prior to use.

Avoid using Ultra Pasteurized (UHT) milk, as the high temperature used to sterilize it breaks most of the milk proteins.

Bravo Kit for Milk can also be used to ferment non-dairy plant-based milk (soy, almond, flax, coconut, or lactose-free milk). In this case, do not boil the milk — warm it to about 87–90°F, mix the powders, and follow the instructions, letting it ferment for 24 hours at warm room temperature (70s–80s°F). Note that plant-based milk may produce a thinner consistency, but the beneficial bacteria will still be present.

Step-by-Step Preparation

1

Boil the Milk

Start with boiling 1 liter of whole cow organic milk, stirring (whisking) occasionally to keep from sticking to the bottom of the pot until it boils. We suggest using a thick-bottom pot to prevent the milk from sticking. Milk boils when it blows up to the rim of the pot. Remove the pot from heat immediately. Do NOT over-boil the milk.

2

Cool to Room Temperature

Cool the milk to room temperature (80°F to 86°F) to ensure complete and even fermentation of all probiotics the way that Bravo Europe intended. Do not stir when cooling down. Remove the thick layer off the top and discard it (it is mainly composed of caseins). Transfer the warm milk into the glass bowl.

3

Mix the Powders

Gently add the powder contents from: 1 Silver bag (starter), 1 Small White bag (Colostrum), and 1 Large White bag (Probiotic & Prebiotic) — to a small amount of milk in a separate glass and stir thoroughly with a tablespoon or a very clean whisk. After all the clumps have been completely dissolved, add to the rest of the milk in the glass bowl and gently stir.

4

Cover Loosely

Once powders are mixed in, loosely cover the bowl with aluminum foil so that air can still pass over the fermenting milk while it is covered.

5

Ferment Undisturbed

Put the bowl in a draft-free place where it will not be disturbed and temperatures will remain around 68–86°F (21–30°C). A good place is an unheated oven. Do not mix or move it.

6

Wait 24–48 Hours

Bravo Probiotic Yogurt will typically ferment in 24 hours depending on the room temperature. If it does not get creamy in 24 hours then leave untouched for another 12–24 hours.

7

Mix and Refrigerate

Once the Bravo yogurt has reached the desired consistency, remove from the (unheated) oven and mix it well using a tablespoon. Cover and place the glass bowl with the yogurt in the refrigerator, where it should stay at least 2 hours before its first use.

Expiration: Bravo probiotic expiration date is 2–3 weeks after preparation. Bravo probiotic powders and prepared Bravo Yogurt should not be frozen.

Re-culturing: Bravo cannot be prepared using leftover from a previous batch. The colostrum in the powders is completely consumed during fermentation and is essential for immune-active molecule formation. Always start fresh with a new kit.

How to Make Homemade Bravo Suppository

Simply mix 3 tablespoons of Bravo Yogurt with 3 tablespoons of coconut oil. The coconut oil should be like soft butter (room temperature). From this mixture, form twelve 1½-inch rolls. Refrigerate or freeze to harden. Use every night before bed — simply insert it and it will stay inside and repopulate the colon with beneficial probiotics. Store the frozen suppositories in the freezer.
